AU to appeal over Bashir War crimes

The African Union resolved to draft a proposal requesting the International Criminal Court -ICC, to pardon Sudan’s President Omar Al-Bashir over war crimes. Bashir was indicted by the ICC in March 2009 on two counts of war crimes and five of crimes against humanity.
